Balduin was born in Bern, Switzerland in December 1978. He wrote his first song at the tender age of 8. As a teenager he formed his first band called "Fades". He learned to play the swiss dulcimer "Hackbrett" and later on guitar. In 2001 he released his first international album "Creative Cookery" on Crippled Dick Hot Wax!.
