Born in 1969 in Nantes, EUGENE LAMPION now lives in Bordeaux where he studied at the Fine Arts for 5 a years. The practices interweave : he brings absurd humor on the waves of WIT FM, at night from 1995 to 2002, permanent improvisation from the regular talk shows is stimulating to about his songs.
The conception of images, of the covers for the albums, of the posters also comes from Eugène. The musical culture acquired throughout the years of programming can be felt in the way Machinchose works on his songs in the studio. The need to « look somewhere else » without marginalizing himself clearly qualifies him and his practices. Designers' songs, one may say.
Terrorist on the Scene of New Chanson Française (SNCF), approximative Dada, unlikely punk, Machinchose does not cares for the codes of music, tears apart any lyrical landmark : he stands out in many ways, he likes it and you can feel it !
